Centennial Award

In celebration of our 100th anniversary, the Lodge has created the Totanhan Nakaha Lodge Centennial Award. There are requirements for both youth and adult members. The requirements for earning the award are linked here.

Every member who completes the award is entitled to acquire two special gold-bordered versions of the Centennial Lodge Flap. These are only available to arrowmen who have completed the award.

Time Capsule

We are collecting items and memories for a lodge centennial time capsule. The time capsule will be a collection of our shared experiences and serve as a legacy for future generations of Order of the Arrow members. We invite all lodge members to participate in this project by submitting an item, memory, message, or a hope for the future. Contributions for the Lodge Centennial time capsule are in progress now through the end of the year.

Here are some ideas for possible submissions:

  • A small item or artifact connected to the lodge, along with a comment on it’s meaning to you
  • Your brief description of a cherished memory of a lodge event or activity
  • A brief message to future members of Totanhan Nakaha Lodge
  • Your prediction of what the lodge will be like in 25 years
  • A short note sharing your hopes or dreams for your future role in the lodge
  • A small piece of artwork, poetry, or written music that reflects your lodge experience
  • A photograph that captures the essence of Totanhan Nakaha Lodge

You can make your contribution to the Centennial time capsule in the lobby of the Council Leadership Center at Base Camp, or at the Centennial Event, the Fall Fellowship, the Fall Conclaves, or the Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) Conference. Just fill out a card and submit it (and your item, if submitting an item).

Submissions will be collected and preserved in a time capsule that will be stored in a secure location. The time capsule will be opened in 25 years, allowing future members of Totanhan Nakaha Lodge to experience the memories, hopes, and aspirations of our lodge members during our Centennial year. This time capsule project is a meaningful way to honor our lodge’s history and to connect with future members. We hope that all lodge members will participate and share their unique contributions!
