Promoting Camping
All Arrowmen should be committed to camping promotion. This is one of the Order’s most important commitments to Scouting.
To reach the objectives of Scouting—to train Scouts to become responsible citizens who are physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight—it is essential that Scouts go camping with their troops. Over the years, camping has kept Scouts interested in Scouting.
Every Order of the Arrow lodge has the responsibility to do a good job of promoting Scout camping. Arrowmen can do camping promotion individually in their unit or by becoming a member of the lodge’s camping promotion committee.
Below are some information on camping opportunities for members of Totanhan Nakaha Lodge. Members are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities and bring back their knowledge and enthusiasm to other members and nonmembers alike.

Each summer, the Order of the Arrow offers a myriad of different High Adventure opportunities to meet your summer needs. Maybe it’s wetting your appetite by going for a plunge in the Atlantic Ocean with the Ocean Adventure at the Florida Sea Base. Or maybe hiking is your passion; if so, what better place to go than the Philmont Scout Ranch, where you can hike the same trails as your Scoutmaster or Scouting ancestors as a part of your Trail Crew experience? Have you ever thought about what the Native Americans and early explorers did to be avid traders? Maybe the OA Voyage is your calling. Whatever your summer aspirations may be, these National High Adventure bases have put together a multitude of options for members of the Order of the Arrow.
